I was born and raised in Munich. After secondary school, I trained as an optician, and a few years later I earned my master’s degree in this profession. Since I had long harbored the desire for a design career I decided in 2019 to go to the University of Applied Sciences in Munich to study industrial and product design. Here I learned again what it means to start a trade from scratch. There are two big influences on my design. One is the German punctuality, conscientiousness and honesty that I grew up with. On the other hand the clear, simplistic and traditional Japanese culture. Ever since I first picked up a manga, I’ve been interested in Japan and its culture. This interest has now turned into a true obsession that influences and moves me as a designer. I would describe my style as a fusion of German precision and Japanese simplicity but always with the user in mind.
